In Loving Memory
Shirley Ann Bergerson, 80, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. She was born to Claire and Adabelle Sather on September 3, 1944. Shirley was raised on a farm in Gonvick, MN. On September 16, 1961, she was married to Roger Bergerson. Shirley was a homemaker, then went on to work at Glass Block and also a custodian at Nopeming Nursing Home.
Shirley was a member of the Midway Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed puzzles, flowers, and going to the lake. Her joy was spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids. Roger and Shirley traveled to Texas for 14 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Adabelle Sather; sister, Betty Johnson; and brother-in-law, Greg Willete.
Shirley will be missed by her husband, Roger Bergerson; children, Steve (Christie) Bergerson, Dan (Mary) Bergerson, and Tami (Cully) Hall; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly, Chuck, Susan, Karen, and Tom; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to stroke research.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 5 to 7pm at Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN 55720. Memorial Service will be Friday the 21st at 11 am with visitation an hour prior. A luncheon will follow the service. A burial will take place at a later date.
