Roger Allan Steinman
September 2nd, 1950 - February 9th, 2025
Roger Steinman passed away on February 9, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on September 2, 1950, in Bluffton, Ohio to Gerald and Ruth Steinman.
He attended Garrett High School Class of 1968. He proudly served his country for two years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a sign installer and maintenance engineer, and in his free time he was a fixer of all things. Once Roger retired, he designed and patented a scope for a bow with his grandson, Gaven. The business is called True Shot, LLC.
He enjoyed going to drag races and car shows with his friends and family. And oh, did he love his Jeep. He also enjoyed making lasting memories through travel with his family and friends, like cruising to Alaska, Aruba, and Mexico.
He was an active member of the Aaron Scisinger Post #178 in Garrett, IN where he often spent time with his high school buddies. He enjoyed making people laugh and the love he shared was truly unconditional.
No one could have been blessed more by the family and friends he was surrounded by. He fell in love and married Marlene Rowe Steinman on August 21,1971. They were blessed by one daughter Stacey (Mark) Voirol, three wonderful grandchildren: Gaven Tittle, Maia Tittle and Kylee Ervin, and three step grandsons: Zack Davidson, Luke Voirol, and Ben Voirol. He is proceeded in death by brothers: Larry, Buddy, Eddie, and Lavern. He is survived by three siblings: Dean, Darl, and Barbara.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sons of the Legend in Garrett, IN Post #178.
Graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn, IN, and the Celebration of Life will follow at the Garrett Legend sometime in May.
Roger will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
