Janet Pierce Secrest
July 8th, 1958 - February 12th, 2025
Janet Secrest, age 66 passed away surrounded by family on February 12, 2025, in Greeley, CO after battling Cancer.
Janet was born in New York to Richard and Charlene Pierce. Ultimately following her family to Colorado, she met and married Robert “Bob” Secrest with whom she built a life with over nearly 40 years, until his death in 2021.
Janet was exceptionally resilient, loyal and compassionate. Family meant everything to her, and she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Her giving nature led her to careers dedicated to helping others, including a more than 20-year career with State Farm before retiring in 2022. Janet will be greatly missed for her caring spirit and warm and generous nature.
Janet was proceeded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Secrest and her father Richard “Dick” Pierce. She is survived by her mother Charlene Pierce; Sister Noreen Horn, Sister-in-law Debbie (Rich) Chatterton; daughters Brittany (Steven) Brown, Jennifer (Jesse) Miller, and Lauren Secrest; grandchildren: Hayden, Bradley, Hayleigh, James, Audrey, Hollie, Leo and Micheal as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be held for anyone wishing to offer condolences on March 9, 2025 at 2:00pm at McCartys, 37661 WCR 39 Eaton, CO 80615.
