Randel “Randy” Jon Quadros, age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 in Auburn, CA. Days earlier, he celebrated his last birthday with family at his side, where his 8-year-old grandson sung him “Happy Birthday” and the family gifted him a “Nacho Average Grandpa” shirt.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1946 in Berkeley, CA to John and Violet Quadros and grew up in Walnut Creek, CA. Randy described Walnut Creek as a small country town, nothing like it is today, and lived most of his adult life in Citrus Heights, CA. Randy loved to participate in and watch most sports, especially baseball, football, and basketball. After graduating from Del Valle High School, he received Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Corrections and Counseling, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law. In between his education, he also served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Randy was highly educated and spent the bulk of his career as an attorney after his receiving his PhD.

When not working, Randy loved anything outdoors related, including camping, fishing, hunting, and searching for arrowheads. He valued family time, visiting with aunts, uncles and cousins; telling stories and jokes; and taking his immediate family on numerous camping trips. He loved to visit Wyoming and Montana, but locally, one of his favorite spots to visit was Silver Lake in Amador County, where he and his children often fished, though his children noted they were always forced to eat the fish they caught (to their great disappointment).

Randy was greatly loved by his family, who will all miss his boisterous laugh and witty sense of humor. He is survived by his son Jeffrey Quadros (Ashley), daughter Angela Quadros, six grandchildren, Chris, Marissa, Eric, Vanessa, Colton and Kaleia, and two great grandchildren, Jace and Aamiliyah. He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Violet Quadros.

A service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at Daneri Mortuary, located at 415 Broadway, Jackson, CA 95642 with the interment at Jackson Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made in Randy’s honor to the Alzheimer's Research Center in St. Paul, MN.
