Shawna Lee Beaty

Shawna Beaty passed away on December 12, 2016 at her home in Dallas, TX. She was born on February 20, 1984 to Mark and Tara Beaty in Anaheim, CA. Shawna attended Garden Grove High in Garden Grove, CA, and in 2002 graduated from Everett Community College in Everett, WA. After graduation she got an awesome sales job that she loved, which allowed her to travel the states; and she made each stop her home: Seattle, Portland, Lone Tree Colorado, Chicago, Florida, Phoenix, Dallas, Austin and Honolulu. In 1995 Shawna and four of her classmates were selected to represent the United States at the Worldwide Peace Conference for Children in Hiroshima, Japan to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima. Her trip was followed up with a letter from President Bill Clinton who called her an Ambassador of Goodwill. At the time of her passing Shawna was employed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Dallas. Her son Nolan was the love of her life. After his birth she said she never thought she could ever love anyone as much as she loved Nolan. Shawna is survived by her 19 month old son, Nolan Aumend; her partner, Scott Aumend of Dallas TX; father, Mark and Gloria Beaty of Greeley, CO; sister, Whitney Thomas of Australia; step sisters, Marne Kaufman of Orange, CA and Donna Bruckner of Greeley; grandparents, George and Carol Duensing of Villa Park, CA; Aunts Carol Beaty-Wilcox of Garden Grove, CA; Rhodora Sall, Terre Duensing and Julie Glossbrenner of CA; cousins, Charity, Hope and Doug Wilcox, Scott and Ryan Sall; and great cousins Kaila Jacinto and Kaleb and Kaden Smith all of California. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Tara Beaty; maternal grandparents, George and Nora Stewart; and paternal grandparents, Elizabeth Beaty and William Beaty; A celebration of Shawna's life will be held the summer of 2017 in Santa Ana, CA.
