Douglas "Doug" Walter Burkhardt
April 14th, 1964 - February 21st, 2025
In Loving Memory
Mr. Douglas "Doug" Walter Burkhardt, 60, of Kernersville passed away on February 21, 2025 at his home. Born in Red Bank, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Walter and Betty Jean (Young) Burkhardt.
He loved cars, especially his Davey Allison car. He enjoyed and played all sports. Everywhere he went, he would make friends and was often surrounded by family. In addition to his family, he loved spending time with his grand-dogs, Ollie and Sophie. He fought long and hard so that he could inspire others to do the same.
Doug is survived by his daughters, Allison Musten (Devin) and Brianna Burkhardt (Reece); his brother, David Burkhardt (Margie); his aunt, Marilyn Crooker; his cousins, Kasson Crooker and Heidi Nathanielsz; and his second cousins, Oliver Nathanielsz and Graham Nathanielsz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Robert Young and Kasson Crooker; and his nephew, Connor Burkhardt.
Per Doug's request, there will be no services held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date.
Friends and family may sign the guestbook online at www.piercejeffersonfh.com
