Mark Donald Platson, age 61 of Bristol, TN, entered eternity on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Mark was born on May 19, 1963, in Berwyn, IL to Donald and Mary Platson. Mark worked as a welder for Home Pride in Bristol.
Mark was a Big Foot hunter, and he loved fishing and visiting state parks. He enjoyed NASCAR and he was the ultimate Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Mark enjoyed building crafts with his children, and he was a devoted father.
Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Markison; brother, Jared Platson; and niece, Lisbeth Markison. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Michelle Platson; four children, Amelia Joy, Lily Platson, Emily Platson, and Jonah Platson; nephews, Tristan, and Gavin; and many other loving family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.
