"She is now at peace, surrounded by the angels."

Jennifer Marie Am, 24 April 1983-3 March 2025, Dupont, Washington

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jennifer Marie Am, who left this world on March 3, 2025, at 3:20 PM at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, Washington, following a lifelong battle with juvenile diabetes that ultimately led to multiple organ failure.

Jennifer was born into a military family, a life that allowed her to experience different parts of the country and the world. She grew up traveling with her parents and, later, her younger brother, learning to adapt, embrace new cultures, and form deep and lasting bonds with the people she met. Despite the challenges of frequent moves, she found comfort in her faith, always staying connected to the church and participating in youth choirs wherever she lived. Her love for music was profound, and she especially enjoyed playing the piano—a passion she carried throughout her life.

Jennifer’s greatest joy, however, was her family. As a devoted mother, she took immense pride in raising her three sons, Elijah (21), Andre (12), Adrian Jr. (9), and her fiancé's son Anthony (16). She never missed an opportunity to support them, whether attending their school events, cheering them on at their sports games, or simply being present for their everyday milestones. Her love for them was unwavering, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to ensuring they felt loved, supported, and encouraged in all that they did.

Jennifer was a woman of deep faith, a lifelong Baptist who found solace and joy in singing in the church choir. She carried that faith with her through life’s trials and tribulations, remaining steadfast in her belief that she was always in God’s hands. Those who knew her will remember her as a kind and compassionate soul who loved deeply, cared selflessly, and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

She is survived by her fiancé, Adrian Martinez, and his loving son Anthony, her three beloved children, Elijah, Andre, and Adrian Jr.; her parents, Brian and Myung Sweet; and her brother, Brian Jr. She was preceded in death by other cherished family members who now welcome her into eternal rest.

Jennifer attended Pierce County College, Washington. She devoted her life to her family, primarily working as a homemaker and, most importantly, as a loving and nurturing mother.

A private family service has already taken place, and a celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held at a later date to be announced. Her family extends their gratitude to all who have reached out with support and prayers during this difficult time. Jennifer’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
