William “Brad” Bradley Vernon, 52, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1972 in Danville, KY to Rita Kidd Gorley and the late David L. Vernon. Brad worked for Veradigm as the Director of Project Managment in Life Sciences.  

Brad loved anything UK sports related, especially basketball, he loved watching movies.  Most importantly he loved watching his kids in their sports and activities. He loved taking the boys to baseball lessons and attending Wills football games.  He loved his baby girl greatly and was proud of her in her gymnastics and cheerleading . 

Those left to cherish his memory includes his daughter, Sophie Vernon; sons, Will Vernon, Brady Vernon; mother and stepfather, Rita (Kelvin) Gorley; grandmother, Joyce Vernon; sisters, Lynnle Vernon, Eva (Tyler) Boling; brother, Alex (Cassie) Gorley; stepmother, Le Vernon; nephew, Daxon Gorley; and the mother of his children and former wife, Stephanie Vernon.  

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 1pm at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, with visitation starting at 10am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Junction City Cemetery at 3:30pm.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to go to his children for educational funds.
