Greg Alan Bellucci, 73, of Colorado Springs, passed away at home on Saturday, March 01, 2025. He was born on February 7, 1952, in Rochester, New York. He grew up in the 19th ward neighborhood of Rochester and went to West High School class of 1970. He was on the swim team in high school and also swam at the Arnett YMCA. Growing up he enjoyed hanging out with his friends, swimming, drawing, listening to music, and playing guitar. The friends he made during his formative years held a special place in his heart and he kept in contact with many of them all throughout his life. Later in life, he created multiple groups on Facebook for his high school in order to reconnect with childhood friends and school classmates, celebrate the memories and events of those friends, and to share updates for their high school class reunions.

After high school, he married, had four children and continued to live in Rochester until 1978, when he moved with his family to Largo, Florida where he worked as a computer software engineer. During his time, he spent time living in Lagos, Nigeria working as a field engineer to help build and develop the Nigerian Army communications network.  He then moved to New England, first to Massachusetts in 1988 and then to New Hampshire in 1996, where he held several roles as a Senior Software Engineer. He was one of five founders of the company Harris and Jeffries, Inc. that developed signaling and protocol-stack software for telecommunications and network equipment manufacturers. Throughout his life, he found peace in the solitude of nature, so he bought a farmhouse on the top of Tabor Hill in Wilmot, New Hampshire where he lived for many years. He loved the view of the mountains, fished in the trout pond on the property, spent time working on various woodworking passion projects in the wood shop he built in his barn, and tended to his Scottish Highland cattle and chickens. He had an adventurous spirit and after this period of time he moved to New Zealand, Australia, and then to the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea. Eventually, he landed in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he worked as a Senior Software Developer/Designer at ECPI University, and then lastly, he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife, Danee.

Greg was a brilliant, creative, and talented man that could teach himself how to do anything with ease. Throughout his life, he was a software developer, a web developer, a pool player, a carpenter, an electrician, a musician, an artist, and a competitive swimmer. The origin of his many accomplishments was a desire and need to be creative and learn new things, a trait that he passed on to his children. He taught his children from an early age that they didn’t need to be taught things, that they could tech themselves anything if they were persistent and patient. He was the living example of that. He loved good Italian food, fine cigars, the silence and peace of nature, and spending time with his love and best friend Danee. He was an avid and skilled pool player, and later in life he enjoyed pool nights with his friends at the Elks Lodge, where he was captain of his team. He had a witty sense of humor, a charming personality, and a warm presence. He was loved and will be missed by so many. May he fly high and rest in peace.

He was predeceased by his father, Arnold F. Bellucci, and his brother, David A. Bellucci.  He is survived by his loving wife, Danee Bellucci; his daughters, Carla Bellucci McGowan (Jason) of Palmyra, New York, and Talia Bellucci Judy (Joseph) of Sun City Center, Florida; his sons, Gabriel Bellucci (Shannon) of Virgina Beach, Virginia, and Michael Bellucci (Nina) of West Newton, Massachusetts. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 8 grandchildren, Alyssa Koratsis Crawford, Christopher Koratsis Jr, Zachariah, Zoe, Zahra, and Haley Bellucci, Luca, and Nico Bellucci; and 6 great-grandchildren, Dominic, Cameron, Corbin, Anistyn, Lewis, and Silas. He is also survived by his mother, Greta L. Bergh Bellucci of Chesapeake, Virginia; brother, William Bellucci (Launa) of Williamsburg, Virginia; sister, Gina L. Bellucci-Cassidy (Roger) of Chesapeake, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held from 3:00PM-7:00PM on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Colorado Springs Elks Lodge #309, located at 3400 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907
