Nancy A. Bates, 66, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
Born on January 11, 1959, in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Howard and Arlene (Dingman) Young.
A lifelong resident of the area, Nancy, worked for the Gloversville Public Works Department. She loved antiques cars, especially her 1965 Pontiac and she would put together antiques car shows and loved to go to different shows. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and grandson, Colton. Nancy was a loving mother, companion, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Shaun Knapp (Kristine) and Richard Knapp, Jr.; fiancé, Artie Rumrill; beloved grandsons, Colton Knapp, Spencer Knapp & Kenny Knapp; sisters, Marylee (late Daryl), Cora (Tom), Roseanne (Martin) and Mary Lou; brothers, Gene (Sherry) and Ray (Kelly); many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Sharon and Leona and her brothers, Howard, Frank and Steve.
In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
