Shirley Jean Lindquist, 92 passed to heaven on the evening of 3/19/2025.
Born in Bellflower, Calif. on 9/29.1932, Shirley grew up in Lawndale, Calif. While attending Leusinger High, she met her soul-mate, Brian. They married in 1949 and had a great marriage lasting 72 years until his passing in 2021. They moved to Loveland in 1954 and stayed here the rest of their lives. Brian and Shirley raised three children Gary, Bruce and DiAnn.
Shirley was a stay-at-home mom until the children were all over 10. Then she took on
four long-term jobs. First, as a stop-smoking program director with American Lung Association for 30 years. Next, as an assistant at the Heart Association. She simultaneously worked for Social Security Administration as a hearing clerk/recorder and as a sales clerk at Queen of Hearts Dress Shop. Finally retiring at age 76, she co-managed the rental properties she and Brian had invested in many years earlier.
Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Loveland for 65 years. She taught
Sunday school and enjoyed singing in the choir.
She is predeceased by her husband, Brian and her sister Ellen Dunnell. Survivors include her three children Gary (Debbie) of Loveland, Bruce of Keokuk, Iowa, and DiAnn of Rocky Ford, Co. Her granddaughter Sarah, great-grandson Jaylen and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
