**Obituary for Walter P. Carrillo** With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Walter P. Carrillo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on March 22, 2025, in Falls Church, Virginia. Born on July 26, 1949, in Lima, Peru, Walter spent his formative years embracing the rich culture and vibrant life of his birthplace, which remained close to his heart throughout his life. Walter's journey eventually led him to the Washington D.C. area, where he became a cherished and renowned salon owner known for his exceptional service and warmth. Over the last 45 years, many came not only for the professional care he provided but also for the genuine connection and humor that characterized each visit. His clients were not just seen as patrons but as extended family. Passionate about music from a young age, Walter created a sanctuary in his home—a dedicated music room where he spent countless hours exploring melodies and rhythms that nourished his spirit. Through music, Walter built enduring friendships, sharing joy and laughter with those around him. Energetic and ambitious, his presence was at once commanding and comforting, a balance admired by all who knew him. Walter found great joy in the company of his family, frequently hosting gatherings that brought together loved ones from near and far. His home was a testament to hospitality and inclusivity, a place where everyone was welcome and leaves with a sense of belonging. Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Gerri, his sons, Jamie of Sterling, VA, Paul (Lorna) of Brooklyn, NY, and Giorgio (Andrea) of Reston, VA. His legacy extends through his five grandchildren, Ashley, Mara, Aidan, Adrian, and Naomi, and his great-granddaughter, Ryleigh. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Iris Thompson of Alpine, Utah, and Ida Hegedus of Rockville, Maryland, and his brother, Hector of Silver Spring, Maryland. A visitation ceremony to honor Walter's life will be held at the Advent Funeral Home, located at 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA, on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4-8 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life well-lived. To express condolences, flowers may be sent directly to the funeral home beginning March 27. Walter's unwavering kindness, vibrant energy, and joyous spirit will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of all he touched.
