Nettie Pearl Cecil Delk, 92, formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, widow of Charles Edgar Delk, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Windsor Gardens in Georgetown, KY. She was a former resident of Versailles, KY.

Born on July 15, 1932, in Heidelberg, KY., she was the youngest of 13, and daughter of the late James and Okra Brandenburg Cecil of Lee County. Nettie was a homemaker and later employed by Avon Products in Springdale, Ohio.

She was a loving mother and is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Shanes (Bob), Bradenton, FL. formerly of Versailles and her son, Steve Delk (Debbie) of Georgetown, KY. She was proud of her five grandchildren, Jeremy Delk, Matt Delk, Bryan Delk, Emily Shanes DeLeon, and Catherine Shanes Gannon; as well as her 9 great grandchildren.

Nettie was known for her loving and caring personality. She will be missed by her immediate family, large extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Windsor Gardens and Bluegrass Care Navigators for their support and care in her final days.

Her dream was to return to her beginnings in Lee County, KY. Private Services are being planned to celebrate her homecoming.
