Memorial

Alice Jan Warren, a former resident of Prineville, Oregon, passed away on March 18, 2025. She was 83. Alice was born near Antlers, Oklahoma on October 15, 1941 to Samuel and Edith Lasater. She moved with her family to Prineville in 1951.

She married Robert Warren, also of Prineville, in 1957 and spent her early adult life as an Air Force wife, caring for her family while moving around the country. Among the places she called home are Antlers Oklahoma, Prineville Oregon, Roswell New Mexico, Blytheville Arkansas, Marquette County Michigan, Selah Washington, Sacramento California, Redmond Oregon and Olympia Washington.

Alice worked for many years in public schools as an administrative assistant. She had an adventurous spirit and, after striking out on her own in 1989, went back to school for training in hotel management. After a successful career in that field, she took on greater responsibilities as an executive assistant for a vice president in a Fortune 500 Company in Sacramento. Throughout her personal and professional growth, she never lost sight of the importance of her family. She took any opportunity to speak with pride about her parents, siblings, sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice loved music and cherished her time singing with the Sweet Adelines in Redmond. She also enjoyed collecting, buying and selling antiques and playing card games with friends, but especially valued her time with family.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and 9 of her 10 siblings (Weldon Lasater, Imogene Arnold, Mary Horton, Sammy Row, Joe Dunham, Kitty Hynes, Henry Lasater, Gerald (Hap) Lasater and Ann Biddle). She is survived by her one remaining sibling, Carolyn Sue Demaris (of Prineville), two sons, Doug (Cara) Warren of Lake Tapps, Washington and Steve (Robin) Warren of Centralia, Washington, four grandchildren (Laura Lake, Michael Warren, Seth Warren and Skye Dissette) and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
