Richard Jones

Richard M. Jones February 7, 1962 - March 18, 2025.

Richard of Venice Florida, passed away at the age of 63, while at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida, after a long battle with Leukemia.

Rich was the son of James and Teresa Jones, loving husband of Maryterese (Doherty) Jones and father to Aidan Patrick Jones. He was one of six children. Rich is survived by his siblings Kathleen Kennerley (Michael), Michael Jones (Anne), Terry Lamson (Rich)and Stephen Jones. He was proceeded in death by his brother James “Jimmy” Jones.

Rich was the loving uncle to his nieces Elizabeth, Allison, Colleen, Jennifer, and Sarah and his nephews Andrew, Matthew, Christian, Bobby and Edward. 

Richard was an alumni of Archbishop Kennedy High, class of 1981 and the Art Institute of Philadelphia. After graduation, Rich worked as a heavy equipment operator at Glasgow Quarry in King of Prussia and later at Highway Materials.

Richard grew up in Lafayette Hill and lived in Plymouth Meeting and Norristown in Pennsylvania.

Rich always loved his work and kept his vehicles impeccably clean, including the school bus he drove for the Sarasota County School District. He enjoyed driving and entertaining special needs children.

Rich made sure he made everyone laugh with his imitations and he will be deeply missed by everyone he met, especially those whose lives he touched.
