Lucille Barker Estrada
October 23rd, 1956 - March 24th, 2025
Lucille Barker Estrada, 68, of Nampa, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by family, after a strong and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on October 23, 1956, in Wickenburg, Arizona, in Maricopa County, to parents Marcelo Solis Estrada and Fannie B. Estrada (Barker). Lucille attended Notus Elementary for primary school and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1976. She later enrolled in the nursing program at B.S.U.
Lucille went on to work for Carnation (later Nestle) for ten years, and then an additional 25 years once it was purchased by Simplot.
More than that, Lucille enjoyed watching movies with her family, shopping with her sisters and nieces, traveling with family (especially trips to Las Vegas and Disneyland), family dinners and celebrations, and summers in the park. She especially delighted in treating family and friends to a meal out and a cup of coffee.
Lucille gave her heart and life to Jesus and professed her love for Him through the act of baptism in October of 2021, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nampa, Idaho, where she became an active member.
Lucille is preceded in death by her mother and father, Fannie and Marcelo; her Uncle George; and brothers, Marcelo, Jr. and Kee.
She is survived by her brothers, Fernando and Johnny; sisters: Irene (Roger), Marie aka Francis, Rosie (Weldon), and Caroline (Moses); and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as great and great-great nephews and nieces.
She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5-7:00 pm, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell.
