Monica Roselyn Simmons

Monica R. Simmons (60), passed away on 3/26/25 in Charleston, SC.

Born in Denville, NJ, Monica was the daughter of William (Bill) J. Dempsey and Margaret (Peggy) L. Gannon Dempsey. She attended St. Virgil’s elementary school and graduated from Morristown High School.

Monica lived in New Jersey most of her life but enjoyed living in South Carolina the last years of her life. Monica’s vocation was family. She was most proud of raising her daughter, Nicole Natal, and being a grandmother to Danil Dennis and Noctis Natal.

Monica’s work was focused on customer service in the grocery and food industry including Kings Supermarkets, Target, and Jersey Mike’s. Monica had a love of travel, reading, and all things related to wolves.

Monica is survived by her daughter, Nicole Natal, son-in-law, Ivan Natal, and grandsons Danil Dennis and Noctis Natal. Also survived by her siblings, Thomas J. Dempsey, Janet M. Sodano, Judith M. Farrell, Joann F. Dempsey, Stephen B. Dempsey, Mary-Claire Dempsey, Patrick F. Dempsey, and Mark C. Dempsey. She is predeceased by her siblings, William J. Dempsey and Sally A. Sipes.

A private memorial service will be scheduled in the near future.
