Frederic Talmadge Boney

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frederic Talmadge Boney, 92. A visitation for friends and family will be held at  Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Saturday, April 5, 2025 between 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Bethel Cemetery, 1448 W River Rd, Rhine, GA 31077, Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM.

Born in China Hill, a community of Telfair, Co., Frederic was born to the late Wiley F. Boney and Mary Jane Burke Boney. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Jackson Boney and Wiley Joseph Boney, and granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Boney.

Frederic was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and dear friend who will be deeply missed. His legacy will be remembered by the love of his life, wife of 67 years: Lorene Cauley Boney; children: Glenda Smith (Thomas), Wiley Boney, and Deanna Craig (Glenn); grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Jeff Smith (Olivia), Justin (Leah) Boney, Cullen Craig  and Cole Craig; great grandchildren: Elowyn Smith and Wilder Smith; along with a host of extended friends and family.

Frederic was a devoted veteran who dedicated his life to serving his family, community, and Christ. He was in the United States Navy for several years before continuing to serve his community at Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft machinic. After retirement, Frederic owned a lawn mower shop. He was honestly a “Jack of all trades.”. When Frederic was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his cherished family, and dear friends. He also enjoyed cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and engaging with other members at the Masonic Lodge in Warner Robins, GA.
