Marsha Lynn Rianda
April 22nd, 1946 - March 28th, 2025
Marsha Lynn Caulfield Rianda, 78, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on March 28, 2025, at home with husband, Bruce Rianda of 56 years, by her side.
Marsha was born on April 22, 1946, in Rochester, Minnesota to John and Gladys (White) Caulfield. After being raised as an Army Brat in Germany, Ohio, Alaska, and California, her family settled in California. She attended the University of California at Berkeley graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 1968. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in education at Northern Michigan University in 1972. While frequently moving, she taught elementary school children in many locations. Beginning in 1994 she became a permanent 5th grade schoolteacher in Tucson at Reynolds Elementary. Marsha was known for also teaching tennis for years to kids around Tucson. She enjoyed water aerobics, playing bunco with friends, travelling and being a proud Grammy. She excelled at finding bargains and could identify the perfect clothing size for others just by looking at them. She also had an amazing memory of all china patterns from Poland to England and remembered which friend or family member was missing that "piece".
Marsha married Bruce of San Francisco, CA in 1968 after meeting at CAL Berkeley through her future sister-in-law (Pam Rianda). Bruce and Marsha were quickly off on adventures with the United States Air Force and raised their kids (Matthew and Cathrine (Bober)) around the country and in England. She is survived by Bruce and her beloved family of Matthew, Cathrine and 4 grandchildren (John, Lukas, Eleanora and Evelyn), as well as her daughter-in-law Lucy and son-in-law Michael all of Denver. She is also survived by her niece, Julia, of Santa Rosa, CA. She was predeceased by her parents (John and Gladys), brother (John Caulfield, Jr), and sister (Cathrine Caulfield).
