He continued riding motorcycles for fun, with the Patriot Guard Riders and the OCOS - Old Coots on Scoots. One favorite accomplishment was completing the Harley Davidson "Cruising the Coast" Passport Ride with his wife Elizabeth. Playing with the grandbabies was always an adventure like when he completed the South Carolina Ultimate Outsider program visiting all 47 SC State Parks with his wife and grandson Andrew. Then the trip traveling cross country from Summerville SC to Seattle Washington with his granddaughter Faith. He loved to travel whether to Alabama to watch games, Florida to visit Amelia Island, Daytona and Orlando or Tennessee to get married.
