Mrs. Marjorie Jean Atkinson, age 66, a resident of Auburndale, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mrs. Atkinson was born May 22, 1958, in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica to Vivian Fredrick and Bernice May (Tennat) Morris. She was an Auburndale resident since 2005 coming from Leigh, Port St. Lucie & Jamaica. Marjorie was a member of the Church of God Auburndale, a Healthcare CNA and a devote Christian Lady. She made a delicious Jerk sauce which she was trying to paten, enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother – Leroy Brown. Marjorie is survived by her loving family, husband of 23 years – Cyrus Atkinson; stepson – Neil Atkinson; 4 brothers – Karl, Dean, Craig & Fredrick; 2 sisters – Sonia & Sharon; many, nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 3rd at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Alfred.
