Kenneth Roy Dever
April 10th, 1939 - April 8th, 2025
Kenneth Roy Dever, 85, of Evans, CO passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at his home. Kenneth was born April 10, 1939 in Trenton, Nebraska to Ernest and Winny (Gordon) Dever. He grew up in the Wray and Kirk area. He married Phyllis Swarts on April 21, 1960 in Loveland, Colorado. Kenneth worked for The Farmers Reservoir & Irrigation Company for 16 years, Erickson’s Breeders (Black Angus) for 2 years, and Platteville Elevator for many years where he retired in 2002. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, all animals and farming things and Jigsaw puzzles.
Kenneth is survived by his children; Melvin Dever of Fort Lupton, CO, Elaine Pearson and husband Doug of LaSalle, CO, Betty Penton of Evans, CO, Ivan Dever and wife Jodie of Sterling, CO, Marlene Wright of Brighton, ME, Denise Warner and husband Shan of Wheatland, WY, and Kevin Dever of Greeley, CO; 13 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren; and his brother, Keith Dever and wife Claudia of Loveland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Winny Dever, his wife, Phyllis Dever and his siblings, Eldon Dever, Elsie Dawirs, Lawernce Dever, Dorothy Thorson, and Delmer Dever.
An open house will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at the La Salle Community Center, 101 Todd Ave., La Salle, CO.
