Carolyn Doehne Duckworth
February 24th, 1936 - April 8th, 2025
Carolyn Doehne Duckworth, 89, of Sun City Center, Florida, peacefully passed away at home on April 8th 2025, reuniting with her beloved husband, Eric.
Carolyn, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, one of two daughters born to the late George and Dorothy Doehne. She graduated from Royenoke High School of Virginia. Afterwards she continued with her education and earned her bachelors degree of Arts from Gettysburg College in 1959. Delta Gamma.
She met Eric Duckworth, the love of her life and together they created a beautiful life where they raised 3 children. They were owners of the Marbledge Resort in East Dorset, Vermont. They delighted in serving the families that entered the doors of their establishment. In the off season they became travelers themselves and enjoyed new adventures.
In her spare time Carolyn enjoyed needle pointing, knitting, sewing, and painting. Carolyn and Eric moved to Sun City Center where they enjoyed various activities that retirement life allowed them to participate in.
Carolyn is preceded in death by Eric, her beloved husband of 56 years, son Doehne Duckworth, and most recently son Eric Duckworth.
She is survived by son Craig Duckworth and wife Fran, sister Betty Gamble, granddaughter Seychelle Duckworth, extended family and friends.
Those who wish may make a donation to the Humane Society or a charity of their choice in her memory.
Carolyn will live on forever in our hearts.
