Tom Tsugio Murata
September 10th, 1924 - April 12th, 2025
Tom Tsugio Murata, 100, of Fruitland, Idaho, passed away on April 12, 2025. Tom was born on September 10, 1924 in Seattle, Washington; he was the second of eight children born to Mohachi and Satsuki Murata.
Tom was preceded in death, by his wife of 73 years, Sachi (d. 2019) and eldest daughter, Apryl (d. 2021). He is survived by his children, Debra Ujiiye (Dennis), Kathi Murata, Shelley Howarth, Thomas Murata (Jennie); four grandchildren, Trevor, Kristann, Jenifer and Bryce; seven great grandchildren, Hadley, Kaelyn, Carvor, Sachi, Hudson, Braden, and Sarai; three siblings, Yosh Murata (Alma), Jean Imahara and Hach Murata (Wanda); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, April 22nd at Shaffer-Jensen Memorial Chapel, Payette. A private family memorial service will be held to honor his life. Tom will be interred at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.
