Mack Elmer Summey, 83, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was born in Scott County, VA to the late Earl and Eve Summey. Mack loved music, fishing, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandson. In his later years he enjoyed frequent visits to Ft. Blackmore especially to the Front Porch Restaurant. Mack was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice Summey; brothers, Gene, Paul, and Jack Summey; sisters, Lois Rhoton and Bobbie Jo Quillen. 

Survivors include his son, Jon Summey and wife Sondra; grandson, Brody Summey; sister, Mary Lane; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Mike Owens officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
