Normand Arthur Charpentier
March 28th, 1936 - April 21st, 2025
Palmer, MA -Normand A. Charpentier, 89, passed away peacefully April 21, 2025, at home. Born in Ware, MA on March 28, 1936, he was the son of Arthur and Amanda (Piche) Charpentier, and has lived in Palmer for 62 years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas of the Apostle Church. Normand proudly served his country in the US Navy. He enjoyed the casino, golfing and the pool at the Wilbraham YMCA. While looking back upon his years, his heart was full, "I had a good life!", and with this he was at peace.
He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Pauline C. (Walder) Charpentier in 2011. He is survived by two daughters, Jane Lewis and her husband Barry of Monson, and Gail Charpentier of Palmer. He also leaves his grandson, Ryan Lewis of Monson, sister-in-law Marion Zglobicki of Ludlow, and brother-in-law Thomas Walder of Bondsville, as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 27th from 1:00-4:00pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Services will be Monday at 10:15am from the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11:00am in St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to either St. Thomas Church or Center of Hope Foundation, PO Box 66 Southbridge, MA 01550.
