Frank Antunez Vacaneri, Jr.
July 21st, 1947 - April 22nd, 2025
Frank Antunez Vacaneri Jr.(Pancho), 77, of Riverton, Wyoming, and a longtime resident of Guadalupe, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home on April 22, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Known for his kindness, joy, and unwavering love for those around him, Frank’s presence brightened the lives of everyone he met.
A devoted family man, Frank was a hardworking individual who worked tirelessly to ensure his loved ones had everything they needed. He served with distinction as the Mayor of Guadalupe, Arizona, was a founding member and the first commander of the Guadalupe American Legion Post #124, and was a proud Vietnam War veteran. Despite these many accomplishments, his greatest joy came from his cherished family — his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Born in Riverton, Wyoming, on July 21, 1947, to Frank Vacaneri and Eleanor Antunez, Frank leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Frances F. Vacaneri, their seven children: Frankie, Danny, Lory, Veronica, Maria, Lupita, and Javier; twenty-five grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren, all of whom he was immensely proud of and loved deeply. His sisters Cruzie, Josefina, Francis, Rosie, Alice, Elizabeth, and his brother Ernie also survived him.
A viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Chandler on May 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The burial service will take place on May 5, 2025, beginning with a blessing at Santa Lucia, Yaqui Temple at 7:00 AM in Guadalupe, followed by a service at 8:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Frank Antunez Vacaneri Jr., will then be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery at 10:00 AM.
He will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
