Maurice Gene Coen passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 in Bonney Lake, WA AFTER A 15 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease facing his disease with grace and dignity. Born Dec 30, 1941 to Maurine Ella Brown Coen and James Thornton Coen in Garden City, Kansas. A proud Eagle Scout, Mauricelived a life of innovations and leadership. He married Janet Connors in 1961 and raised two sons, David Steven and Kirk William. He graduated from Garden Community College and attended Wichita State University beginning a distinguished career in the aerospace industry with numerous companies on commercial aircraft,military craft, and eve several space craft. In 1972, he returned to manage a large wheat and millet farm near Towner, CO. He also founded NACO Industries, designing, patenting and selling groundbreaking PVC products. His work created hundreds of jobs and advanced the PVC industry.

In 1984, he married Mary Ellen Belvill-Williams of Pueblo, CO and was stepfather to her sons, Jason Wesley Williams and Jeffrey David Williams. In retirement, Maurice bought a historic home in St Paul-le-Jeune, Ardeche, France, restoring and renovating it for vacations and holidays. It was source of much study, joy and sharing with friends and family. He lived what can only be described a large, and fulfilling life, devoted family, innovation and discovery. He leaves behind four sons, eleven grandchildren and six great-grand children as follows:

David Steven (Geri) of Overland Park, KS, Kirk William (Lisa) of Olathe, KS, Jason (Shannon) Williams, and Jeffrey David Williams of Bonney Lake, WA.

Grandchildren: Steven Coen (Hayley) with two children, Daniel (Seirra) with one child, Sarah Arlene Coen with three children, Grace Coen and (Santiago Vallejo), Madison Coen and Piper Coen. Step-grandchildren: Caiden and Finley Williams, Logan and Riley Williams.
