Surviving persecution and near starvation rationing, learning valuable tools for thriving on minimal resources, something she would never stop. She immigrated to the United States in the 1950’s and began a career in the hospitality industry. For over 20 years working with hotel chains like Marriott, she helped setup the restaurants and other accommodations of numerous hotels across the nation. Eventually she decided to slow down and took a serving job at the Sunset Lounge near Lowery Air Force Base in Denver. She met her long time husband Walter and the two married in May of 1994. They enjoyed traveling together to Germany spending time with family, and various places around the U.S. She took on the caretaker roll when Walter began to succumb to Alzheimer’s, for nearly 10 years, she cared for him until his passing in September of 2017. She enjoyed gardening, art’s and crafts, and DIY projects around the house. She is survived by her Siblings Rudolf and Lydia, Son Paul, and Nephews Roland and Ralph.
