Doris Vivian (Dial) Polley, 94, passed away on May 10, 2025, at Heartwood Place Care in Woodburn, Oregon.
Born on June 20, 1930 in Goshen, Oregon, Doris spent most of her life in Springfield, Oregon and graduated Valedictorian from Mohawk High School in 1948. She served as a secretary at Thurston High School and once retired, she enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, Arizona, with her beloved husband of 62 years, Leonard Polley.
Doris learned to play piano at an early age and continued to enjoy entertaining family and friends through the years. Even though, later in life, she was in memory care facility, that gift remained with her.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Grace Dial, brother Dale Dial, husband Leonard Polley and daughter Nancy Polley.
Doris is survived by her daughter Kathy (Ken) Conover, son Craig (Linna) Polley, 4 grandchildren; Jason (Mikel) Conover, Matthew (Carrie) Conover, Lindsay (John) Pemberton and Christopher (Jessica) Polley and 12 great-grandchildren. Siblings include brother Dean (Jo) Dial, sister Judy Van Orden, sister-in-law Fay Dial plus 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
Per her request, no services are planned. To honor Doris, please plant pansies (her favorite flowers) and enjoy the beautiful colors of summer.
