Margaret Kohler, 77, of Owyhee, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at a Meridian Hospital. Margaret was born August 25, 1947, in Owyhee, Nevada to parents Walter Sam and Bertha Shaw. Shortly after graduation Margaret married David Anzara Sr. and together, they raised 3 children, David Anzara Jr. Melinda Sam and Michael Anzara. They later divorced. In 1985 she married Franklin Kohler, whom she was with, until her passing. 

Margaret enjoyed camping, fishing and going to Pow Wow’s, she was an active member of the Sho-Pai Tribe of Duck Valley, Nevada. Her favorite hobby though was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Margaret spent 27 years working at the Elmore Medical Center. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Bertha; Brothers: David Sam, Elson Sam, Everett Sam, Edward Sam and Ray Sam; Her sister Elvira Garcia passed a day after Margaret.

She is survived by her Children: Davd Anzara Jr., Melinda Sam and Michael Anzara; grandchildren: Nikki Anzara and Kylie Anzara; and a great grandchild Braeden Pickett. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, 1:00 pm May 19, 2025, at the Owyhee Presbyterian Church.
