It is with heavy hearts that we remember and celebrate the life of Gennelle VanSickle (1934–2025). A lifelong Tampa resident and Hillsborough High School graduate of 1951, Gennelle’s life was marked by resilience, kindness, and dedication to family and community.
Gennelle was a loving mother to David (deceased 2021), Twila, and Kim, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who found joy in watching her family grow. Her professional journey included service to the City of Tampa and a remarkable second career as an EMT and Paramedic in Florida, where she cared for many in times of need.
Known for her quiet strength, warm laughter, and generous spirit, Gennelle touched countless lives with her compassion and perseverance. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a life well-lived.
We invite all who knew her to join in honoring Gennelle’s memory by carrying forward her spirit of grace and generosity. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Rest in peace, Gennelle.
