Emilia Vega Juárez July 20, 1929 – May 16, 2025

Emilia Vega Juárez, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Emilia was born July 20,1929 in Michoacan Mexico, the second of four children. She married Antonio Juarez on February 15,1947 and together they had eight (8) children. She was proud to share that she had 4 four boys and 4 girls. Benito Juarez (Rosario); Evelia Hidalgo; Heriberto Juarez (Carlota); Bertha Olmos (Javier) David Juarez (Maria); Angelica Guzman; Fabiola Juarez-Coca (Pedro) and Baltazar Juarez (Elana). Emilia raised their children and helped her husband farm. When her husband died in 1979, she moved to Idaho to join her eldest son, Benito. She has spent the second half of her life in the beautiful Treasure Valley, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Emilia worked in agriculture, picking fruit and hoeing beets and onions and threading hop vines. One of her favorite jobs was working in the lunchroom in the Notus School District. While there she enjoyed exchanging Avon orders with other ladies and seeing her own children, Fabiola and Baltazar, at the school.

While living in Notus (1988 – 2008), she loved growing a huge garden and raising chickens. When some of her children moved out of state, she was able to visit them in New York City; Ohio, Philadelphia, Nevada and Arizona. She also traveled to her hometown in Michoacan for the Christmas festivities for many years. She cared for many grandchildren, and they were the joy of her life.

We want to thank the following care team for the loving and quality care they provided Emilia: Dr. Jennifer Southard, Primary Doctor, St. Al’s Medical Group, Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, and Linda Salinas, GM, and her team at Aspen Creek Senior Living.
