Mrs. Patricia Jean Edenfield, age 83, a lifetime Polk County resident passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Hawthorne Inn in Lakeland surrounded by family. Mrs. Edenfield was born October 7, 1941, in Lakeland, Florida to Herman and Edna Pearl (Gentry) Polston. She was a graduate of Kathleen High School and a retired Cafeteria Worker for Polk County Schools. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed darts, bingo, fishing, NASCAR and loved to spend time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2nd husband – Robert “LC” Edenfield; 8 brothers & sisters. Patricia is survived by her loving family, 2 daughters – Brenda (Tim) Phelps of Lakeland & Anita (Donnie) Layton of Wimauma; brother – John Harvey (Barbara) Polston of Lakeland; sister – Loretta Williamson of N.C.; companion and father of her children - Marvin Cox of Morriston; 3 granddaughters – Katrina (John Jr.), Kari (Tony) & Kelly (Jeremy) and 5 great grandchildren – Maddison, Morgan, Jaeden, John III & Jace. Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, June 4th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
