Loretta Gay Foskett, 76, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on October 17, 1948 in Kingman, Arizona to Kenneth and Katharine Gardner.
Loretta lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for her family. She spent many years working as an apartment manager and devoted much of her life to caring for others as a caregiver. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, spending time with friends and family, watching Hallmark movies, cooking delicious meals, and relaxing with a glass of Franzia boxed wine.
Affectionately known as “Nanny” to her grandchildren, Loretta is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Foskett) Padwe and her husband Marc Padwe, her son, Frank Foskett, and her daughter, Christina Foskett; her grandchildren: Kelsey Foskett and her husband Kyle Elliott, Connor Padwe and his fiancée Madison Fenicle, Kyle Padwe, Luke Padwe, Kendall Foskett, Morgan Foskett, Tatumn Foskett, and Savannah Padwe; and her great-granddaughter, Carter Padwe. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Newell.
We warmly invite you to join us in honoring Loretta's life through a quiet and respectful gathering to be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at Meldrum Mortuary, located at 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201. This time is set aside for family and friends to pay their respects, reflect, and offer support. Following the visitation, we will proceed together to Mesa Cemetery, located at 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ 85201, for a simple graveside burial for those who would like to join.
Loretta will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor Loretta’s memory by loving and caring for one another and making time for the people who matter most.
