Susan Gayle (Coffman) Shelley, 71, of Payette, Idaho finished her well-run earthly race on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in Meridian, Idaho to now live in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sue was born in Weiser, Idaho on January 23, 1954 to William and Neva Jean Coffman. Growing up she lived in Midvale, Idaho and then in Enterprise, Oregon where she attended junior high and high school. Her son Roby was born on January 14, 1972. After high school Sue attended cosmetology school and as a single mom began her career as a hairdresser. She was an outstanding hairdresser and loved sharing in the lives of those she served.

On August 2, 1975 Sue married Earl Dean Shelley in Ontario, Oregon at the Ontario Church of the Nazarene (in the building which is now Rusty’s Pancake and Steakhouse). Dean and Sue resided in Payette, Idaho. They enjoyed motorcycle riding together.

On September 26, 1977 Dean and Sue welcomed their daughter, Heidi Denyelle. Sue continued to work as a hairdresser while caring for her family. She was an active member of the Ontario Church of the Nazarene where she enjoyed serving her church family and participating in ministry to the elderly and homeless.

Sue is survived by her mother, Neva Jean Coffman of Ontario, Oregon; her brother Bill Coffman of Enterprise, Oregon; her son Roby (Carla) and children: Christina (Ricky) and their children: Mickel, Austyn, Madyson and Amanda of Ontario, Oregon. Stephen (Shantel) and their children: Bella, Grayson, Luna and Stephen Jr.  of Ontario, Oregon.  Samantha (Christian) and their children: Kodi, Bubba, Kelli, Billy, Zoey, Oliver and Jayce or Ontario, Oregon. Riley of Texas.

Sue is also survived by her daughter, Heidi (Loren) and their son Bradley of Payette, Idaho; her grandson Roby Lee Miller of Payette, Idaho, her many friends and her companion puppy Fayley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Dean, her father, William Coffman, her sister-in-law Joyce Smith and her stepdaughter Telika.

Sue greatly loved her Lord and Savior, her family, her church family and all her friends. She had a heart for people who were hurting and struggling.
