Angela Lucy Herrera

Angela L. Herrera, age 53, passed away tragically young on June 11, 2025 at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, surrounded by the love and presence of her devoted family. Born on March 6, 1972, in the mountain town of Leadville, Colorado, Angela was the beloved daughter of Dan L. Herrera and Josephine Martinez.

Angela lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and unwavering faith. A proud and nurturing preschool teacher, she poured her heart into shaping the lives of young children, offering them not just knowledge but kindness, patience, and joy. Her love for life shone through in everything she did—whether she was camping under Colorado skies, crafting thoughtful creations by hand, filling a room with her voice in song, dancing with pure delight, or simply cherishing precious moments with her family.

A devout Catholic, Angela's faith was the cornerstone of her life. It guided her actions, sustained her through hardship, and inspired those around her. She lived by example—giving selflessly, loving unconditionally, and always showing grace in the face of life’s challenges.

Angela’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched with her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and the warmth of her heart.
