Karl Eugene Bond

 

Karl Eugene Bond, a devoted husband, beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather passed away on June 29, 2025 at the age of 97. He passed peacefully in his sleep at his daughters’ residence. He was born on July 2, 1927, in Tom Ball, Texas, to Jimmie Matthews Bond and Marjorie Collier Bond. On October 3, 1944, Karl married the love of his life, Jeanie Melius, in Panama City, Florida.Karl worked as a sales man for Planters Corp, known for his talent, hard work, and problem-solving spirit. Outside of work, he found joy in building firearms, spending time outdoors, and fishing.He is survived by his loving wife of 80 years, Jeannie Bond of Sherman TX; daughters Barbara Joan Smith of Midlothian Texas and Linda Loony of Canyon Texas; Grandchildren Shawn Smith of Durango Colorado, Shannon Smith of Maryville Tennessee, Todd Loony of Canyon Texas and Tadd Loony San Francisco California ,  7 Great-Grandchildren and 13 Great-Great-Grandchildren.Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margie Bond; his 2 brothers, Johnny Lee Bond and Craig E. Bond; Sister Jammie Bond.Karl asked for Cremation. There will be a Celebration of life held on Friday, July 5, 2025, from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm at his daughter’s residence Barbara Joan Smith 714, Royal Lane Midlothian TX 76065.
