Raymond D. Budde went to be with his Lord passing peacefully at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, FL on June 27, 2025, age 90.  He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Quinn) Budde and the late Bernice (Fogg) Budde.  He was the loving father of Randall (Laura) Budde, Ronald (Beth) Budde, Sharon (Dean) Lamb, Scott (Barb) Budde and Christine “Cricket” Washbon Ronan.  Ray will be forever remembered by his devoted brother, Charles (Marilyn) Budde.  He was blessed to be survived by eight grandchildren; Nathanael, James (Madeline), Richard (Rachael) and Joshua (James) Budde, Amanda and Ryan (Kellsie) Lamb, Kimberly and Nicholas Ronan; as well as twelve great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and relatives.

Ray was born on the family farm in Lewiston, NY on April 3, 1935 and was the son of the late Julius and Marie (Rosseau) Budde.  Ray was predeceased by his wife Bernice (Fogg) Budde of 32 years, who passed away in 1987, sisters Marjorie Budde Nayman and Carol Budde Behe; sister-in-law, Eileen Budde; and brothers-in-law Donald Nayman and Charles Behe.

Ray graduated from Lockport Senior High School.  He served in the US Army National Guard.  He retired from Harrison Radiator (GM) in 1998.  Ray remarried to Patricia Quinn on December 23, 1988.  After retirement, Ray and Pat spent 15 years in “paradise” on the island of Kauai, HI.  Ray and Pat returned stateside, at the age of 80, to reside in North Port, FL.  Ray has been a faithful and devoted follower of Christ as a member of the Lutheran Church.

Ray had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh like no other.  He was kind to all and always had a positive outlook.  He was noted for saying, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”  He was a lifelong Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees, and Buffalo Sabres fan.  He was a lover of all sports and liked to do number puzzles.  He was member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.
