He was born on February 5, 1930, in Greenville, South Carolina, where he would go on to make his mark on the lives of many. John was a man of remarkable character, known for his generosity, kindness, ambition, and consideration for others. Throughout his life, John invested his time in watching basketball, a passion that he cherished deeply, and in creating special moments spent with his beloved family. He took pride in fostering connections with his loved ones and was known to go above and beyond to support those around him. He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Moore, and his siblings, Wilbert and Linda Moore, who will carry his memory and spirit with them always. In appreciation of his steadfast commitment as the Conference Secretary of Global Ministries, John not only taught but inspired countless individuals to engage in service to others. His legacy of service will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
