Mementos

Charlotte M. Grider, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025 at the age of 90 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on April 18, 1935 to the late Winfred and Bessie (Shearer) Gravitt.

Charlotte was a devoted wife of 54 years to the late Russell A. Grider Sr., and a loving mother to daughters, Peggy A. Sigwald (Waldo) of Conyers GA, Virginia D. Ellis (Teddy) and Carmen L. Inman (James) both of Frankfort KY. Charlotte adored and loved her 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren with (2) additional great blessings on the way. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Betty (Mason) Hughes and Helen True. She is preceded in death by her son, Russell A. “Chip” Grider, Jr., brothers: Junior Gravitt, Wilbur (Nancy) Gravitt, Stanley (Sue) Gravitt, and sisters: Mary Bell Green, Linda (Bob) Monroe, and Sue Carol Payton.

Charlotte will be remembered for her faith, warmth, generosity, strength and her love for roses, dancing, singing and her beloved pet Dutchess. She dedicated her life to her family, always providing a listening ear and warm embrace. She taught her family the power of prayer, to have faith, and know that God is always with them.

A memorial service for Charlotte will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00am with visitation for immediate family from 9:30am to 10:00am at Clark Legacy Center. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Charlotte's life at 10:00am. Special thanks to Pastor Robert Hutcherson for officiating Charlotte's memorial service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 12:00pm.

Pallbearers will be Jason Hamblin, Michael Hamblin, Brandon Inman, Joshua Inman, Tyler Sigwald and Logan Sigwald. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlotte's sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hospice for the love, care and compassion shown to Charlotte and her family. The family ask in lieu of flowers to please consider a donation to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice) in memory of Charlotte.
