In Loving Memory of Carmen Victoria Marquez de Torres January 22, 1930 to July 22, 2025.

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carmen Victoria Marquez de Torres, who departed this mortal life on July 22, 2025 at the age of 95.   Born on January 22, 1930, in Ayacucho, Peru, Mama Carmela lived a long, meaningful life filled with resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family.  She loved to travel and never hesitated to step into new places or experiences. She was the heart and soul of our family.   She was a woman of strong faith, grace, and quiet strength who led by example and loved unconditionally.     Mama Carmela was known for her bright sense of humor, warm spirit, generous heart, and her remarkable ability to bring people together.  She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.  She cooked with heart, turning simple ingredients into unforgettable dishes.  She preserved generations of Peruvian tradition through her cooking, passing down recipes that told the story of our family. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her embrace always ready.

  She is survived by her children, Carmen, Irene, Luz and Luis.  She joins in eternal rest her husband, Oscar Elias Torres Zavala, her youngest son Martin, and other loved ones who preceded her.  Her family is vast with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless extended family members and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.   Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.  Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate her extraordinary life and countless lives she touched.
