Gaylord Eugene Gibbs

Gaylord Eugene Gibbs, 72, of Greeley, CO passed away July 17, 2012 at the hospice inpatient unit. He was born March 25, 1940 in Keenesburg, CO to Eugene and Drusilla (Goodnight) Gibbs. Gaylord grew up and attended schools in the Greeley area. He graduated from College High in 1958. He enrolled in the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business degree in 1963. Gaylord enjoyed attending and watching sports. In High School he was an all state wrestler. He specifically enjoyed watching football and basketball. He was also a proud member of Greeley Elks Lodge. Gaylord is survived by his brother, Dan (Janet) Gibbs of Greeley; sister, Ruthalene (Bill) Hindman of South Carolina; 2 nephews; and 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; and younger brother, Calvin. Private family services will be held at a later date.
