Memorial

Sherman Lowell Field, a long-time Colorado Springs resident, passed December 18, 2019. He was born January 16, 1943 in St. Paul, MN to Pauline and Werner Field, who do not survive. After graduating from Ramsey HS in St. Paul, Sherman went on to vocational school and became a mechanic. He was always working on a project and would be more than willing to help anyone at any time. He had one rule he was known for, KISS Keep It Simple Stupid. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and loved going to the races. He was also an avid motorcyclist, preferring the Triumph and BMW bikes, taking to the road to Sturgis for many years. And lets not forget how he loved his dogs. He spent most Saturdays volunteering for a local animal rescue. Sherman is survived by his children and their spouses, Marie & Clayton Naber, James "Jim" & Deena Nelson, Vernon "Scott" Nelson, Sherman W. Field and Sherlin Field-Johnson; grandchildren, Leah, Vance, Emily, Shaila, Karina & Aaron, Evelyn, Sherman J. & Tina, Daniel, Faith and Rachel; great grandchildren, Adrien, Micah, Remy, Ames, Krista and James and his four legged kids, Lea & Rowdy.
