Oralia "Orlie" Ortega passed away peacefully on July 12, 2021 at the age of 79 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She was born December 1, 1941 in Capulin, Colorado. Oralia was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed many hobbies and passions such as bowling, watching Broncos and Rockies games and long phone conversations with Auntie Cece, Joyce, Patsy and Eleanor. Oralia loved her Mexican music and could be found every Thursday night listening to the mariachis at Gregorios. Oralia worked several years for Denver Public Schools; first in the lunch rooms and then as a paraprofessional. In later years she nannied and helped raise several children; Jessie, Leiha, James and Maggie. A special relationship with these families was maintained and cherished throughout the years. Oralia is survived by her loving family including her husband of 60 years, Arthur, five children; Angelo Ortega, Agnes Ortega, James (Charlene) Ortega, Andrew Ortega and Josie Ortega. Five grandchildren; Matthew Culver, Brian Culver, Zachary Culver, Katie Culver, Landon Ortega and one great-grandson Emmet Culver along with numerous nieces, nephews, God children and other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her parents Rafelita (Trujillo) Cordova and Candelario Cordova, sisters Viola (Tia Nana) Martinez and Olivia (Tia Mona) Gurule,brothers Ruben Dominguez, Walter Dominguez and Alfonso "Chuck"(TC) Dominguez. Recitation of the Rosary to be held on August 3, 2021 at 10:25 a.m.at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Denver. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. with internment at 1:30 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. The care of arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home in Denver. You may use this website to leave online condolences.
