Karra Shae Peterson May 17, 1989 ~ February 14, 2020 Sergeant Karra Shae Peterson Karra was born on May 17, 1989 in Newberg, Oregon to her parents Karl Gordon Peterson and Cynthia Ann Schobinger. She attended Eaglecrest High School in Aurora, CO and also Emily Griffith Technical College in Denver, CO. She obtained her Associates Degree. Karra served in the United States Army from August 7, 2007 to July 11, 2015 her rank was SGT EO4 Specialist. She served with 2nd Brigade Combat Team 4th Infantry Division. She was a Battalion Commander stationed at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX and Ft. Carson, CO She was awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star // Army Commendation Medal // Army Achievement Medal // Meritorious Unit Commendation // Army Good Conduct Medal // National Defense Service Medal // Global War on Terrorism Service Medal // Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star // Army Service Ribbon. Her profession/trade was in HVAC with Bell Home Solutions & Union 9 for over 4 years. Karra loved meeting up with family and friends. She loved to write and draw. Loved making things, she was very constructive; she liked camping, skiing, being goofy, shed loved playing any sports and working out. She was very competitive, enjoyed playing cards and winning. But her greatest passion and love was spending time with her son Ari. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Dwight Cofer and Gordon and Jacqueline Peterson, Popi & Sandy, Bernadette and Great Grandmother Katherine; and Uncle Adrian. Those who will continue to cherish her loving memory is her Son Ari Smith Peterson, EX Spouse Stephanie Smith; Parents, Cynthia & Troy Schobinger and Karl Peterson; Sister Courtney Miller; Grandparents Harold & Bernice Schobinger, Alane & Leo Wafford; Aunts Roxanne, Tiffany, Liz, Becky, Janell, Sue, Cindy, Jen and Glenda; Uncles Ed, Jason, Mark, Mike, Bree and Joey; Nieces/Nephews/Cousins Lindsay, Candice, Eddie, Derek, Alli, Ashley, Easton, Ava, Taylor, Madison, Brooklyn, Calvin, Andi, Kiley, Gabe, Gretchen, Gracie and Logan; In-laws John & Gina Westcott; Brother-in-law Derek & Dawsiri Smith.
