James Randall Elder Jim passed away on Tuesday, June 21, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife, Denise, daughters, Michelle and Jennifer, his father, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He worked at Marvin Smith Auto Repair for over 2 decades and was on the safety crew at Cottage Grove Speedway for many years. He was active in planning numerous family gatherings and activities. He especially enjoyed creating and documenting family memories. His hobbies included fishing, camping, sports, and lawn mower racing. There will be a celebration of life gathering at the Calvary Chapel in Cottage Grove on Friday, July 1 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home.
