Charles “Chuck” Guenzi, 73, passed away after a brief battle with brain cancer on June 27, 2025, in Melbourne, FL. Chuck was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who during his retirement enjoyed spending time with family and friends, frequenting the Brevard Zoo and Space Center, and following his favorite sports teams.

Born on August 7, 1951, in Canton, OH, to Louis and Narcissa Guenzi. He attended the University of Cincinnati and earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for the majority of his career at Celanese in both the Rock Hill, SC and Narrows, VA locations.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Narcissa, as well as his only brother Gary Guenzi.

Chuck is survived by his wife Barbara, Marijo McNeil (Phillip), daughter of his first wife, Debbe Guenzi, Marijo’s children Kyra and Vaughn, his son Stephen (George), Stephen’s children Tommy and Zena, and his brother Gary’s wife Melinda.

A celebration of life is being planned for later in the fall in North Carolina and details will be shared directly with family and friends.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and care team who provided excellent care and comfort during this difficult time.
