Dorothy Brown
March 27th, 1943 - February 26th, 2018
My Life Story Dorothy Jean Brown was called home by our Lord on February 26, 2018, at a care facility in Boise, Idaho. She was born in Santa Monica, California, on March 27, 1943, to Esther and Fred Dewin. Her family moved to Idaho when she was about 4, where she lived for the rest of her life except for a few years in Michigan where she was employed by General Motors. Dorothy taught religious education at several Catholic Parishes over a quarter century specializing in preparing second graders for their first communion. She graduated from cosmetology school in 1979 and after working for a while in a hair salon in Eagle, opened her own shop in her home. She served her customers there until December 1993, when she retired. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Radon. She is survived by her beloved husband, Russ; sons: Daniel Radon and Joseph Radon; daughters: Barbara Kessell, Tina Radon, and Elaina Radon, all issue of her first marriage; 4 grandchildren; and sister, LaDena Widner. She is also survived by her step-sons: James Brown, John Brown, Joseph Brown; step-daughter, Dianne Maxwell; and 4 step-grandchildren. Dorothy was also a devoted member of The Third Order of St Dominic/Idaho, Blessed Margaret of Castillo Chapter and she was active in the Right to Life. She was a friend to all; never met a stranger. A Rosary Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 5, 2018, with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 P.M., at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Road, Meridian. Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Remembrances may be left for the family on Dorothy's webpage at www.AccentFuneral.com

We Entrusted Dorothy Brown's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
